Black Henbane

Roots: fleshy tap root

Stems: 1 to 3 feet tall; thick, coarse, and hairy

Leaves: alternate on stem; covered with fine, slightly sticky hairs

Flowers: large funnel shaped showy flowers are greenish-yellow with purple veins and dark purple centers

Origin: Europe and northern Africa
