In particular, South Dakota’s forestry industry includes:

  • 1.7 million acres of forestland
  • 18 wood/paper manufacturing facilities
  • 3,548 jobs

Programs and services include: Forest Stewardship, Forest Health, Forest Inventory Analysis, Urban and Community Forestry and Conservation Districts.
