Roots: lateral rootstock and fibrous roots

Stems: erect, stiff, 1 - 3 per plant, slender, simple up to the inflorescence, surfaces pubescent

Leaves: alternate; palmate divided with 5 (sometines 7) leaflets, middle leaflet longest, margins with 7 - 17 prolonged triangular teeth

Flowers: sulphur yellow corolla, appearing bright yellow at the petal bases, 5 petals, deeply notched at the tops
